This month, Bloq.it headlined the Connect2Post Summit in Lisbon as main sponsor, bringing together a curated group of postal operators, parcel carriers, technology providers, consultants, and last-mile specialists to openly examine how out-of-home (OOH) and last-mile delivery are evolving across Europe.
Redefining Delivery – OOH & Last Mile Summit was designed as an intimate, working-format event, prioritising depth of discussion over scale. Across two days of presentations, workshops, and site visits, participants shared real market data, deployment experiences, and operational lessons from both mature and fast-growing OOH markets.

One of the clearest outcomes of the event was confirmation that OOH delivery is entering a decisive growth phase. As highlighted in post-event industry coverage following the summit:
“The European out-of-home delivery market could double or triple in size over the next five years thanks to rising demand from retailers and consumers and amid strong investments by carriers and suppliers.” - CEP Research, summarising insights shared by speakers at the Connect2Post Summit.
Technology played a central role throughout the agenda. Real-world deployments of AI-driven optimisation, fraud prevention, autonomous delivery solutions, and crowdsourced models demonstrated that innovation is moving beyond experimentation into practical, deployable solutions. At the same time, speakers emphasised the need to balance automation with human oversight and local market expertise.
Another major theme that emerged was the shift of control toward the end customer. Rather than a single dominant delivery model, consumers increasingly expect choice — between lockers, PUDO points, home delivery, workplace delivery, and hybrid options — depending on context and convenience. This reality is accelerating the coexistence of multiple delivery formats rather than the consolidation around one.

Bernhard Bukovc, Founder of Connect2posts and event organizer brought together a diverse set of voices across the OOH ecosystem to ensure the discussion reflected the full complexity of the market. The summit was intentionally structured to reflect this diversity, bringing together voices from different markets and stages of maturity.
Participants described the Connect2Post Summit as a timely and much-needed forum for the OOH ecosystem — one focused not on theory, but on execution, trade-offs, and real operational challenges. As parcel volumes continue to grow and delivery models diversify, the summit reinforced a shared conclusion: collaboration across the value chain will be essential to building resilient, customer-centric delivery networks across Europe.
Bloq.it will continue to sponsor discussions and ecosystems that bring together the brightest minds of the industry for a common goal.
The next Connect2Post Summit will take place on 28–29 January in Berlin.
