The Partnership

Before rolling out lockers at scale, DeinFach wanted a foundation they could rely on for the long run. They needed a platform that didn't tie them to one hardware vendor, a reliable, proven system that could scale with them, and the ability to bring multiple carriers and delivery partners onto one shared, centralized system from day one. For a project this ambitious, a clear and controlled path mattered more to them than moving fast. DeinFach evaluated the market thoroughly before choosing Bloq.OS, the only platform they found that could run a large, open network without compromising on flexibility or performance.

The Project

There was no existing playbook for a project like this. Being the first European open network backed by a major logistics company meant Bloq.it and DeinFach had to build the template as they went, flawlessly. That work is live today: over 850 lockers and roughly 60,000 doors in service across multiple German cities, with more going up every month.

Bloq.OS now runs every part of DeinFach's network, from carrier integration to the pickup experience itself, on Bloq.it's own open network protocols. Its hardware-agnostic design means DeinFach isn't locked into one manufacturer: they can add new locker hardware as the network grows while keeping a single, consistent experience for carriers and end users alike. Because multiple logistics providers and retailers now share the same locker infrastructure, a parcel's carrier no longer changes how it's collected. That consistency is also what makes the network fast to scale: onboarding a new carrier means connecting them to the existing system, not building a parallel one.

Looking Ahead

The next phase is simple: more lockers, more carriers, more cities.
