Bloq.it Reflects on Industry Trends Following Leaders in Logistics Summit

Last week, Bloq.it joined industry leaders at the Leaders in Logistics Summit in Brussels, one of the key gatherings for postal operators, carriers, and logistics innovators across Europe. Head of Business Development, Daniel Starkey, and Independent Last-Mile Logistics Consultant, Gary Winter took the stage to share insights from the recent Evri launch and discussed Bloq.it’s role in shaping the UK’s out-of-home infrastructure.

Beyond the stage, the most valuable moments came from conversations with operators and partners navigating the same challenges and opportunities across last-mile delivery. Key takeaways from Brussels include:

  • Data is becoming the backbone of operational decision making: Across carriers and postal operators, investment decisions are increasingly driven by granular operational data. From route optimization to delivery success rates, the ability to access and act on real time insights is quickly becoming a competitive advantage rather than a nice to have.
  • OOH networks are moving from expansion to optimization: The conversation is shifting. While network growth remains important, the focus is now on making existing infrastructure smarter, improving utilization, placement strategy, and user experience across locker networks.
  • Partnerships are accelerating infrastructure scale: The Evri rollout is a clear example of how collaboration can rapidly expand OOH capabilities. Strategic partnerships between carriers and technology providers are enabling faster deployment and more resilient networks.
  • The last mile is becoming more user centric: There is a growing emphasis on convenience and flexibility for end users. From location accuracy to seamless pickup experiences, success in last-mile delivery increasingly depends on how well solutions adapt to real world behaviors.
“At Leaders in Logistics in Brussels, at Bloq.it’s stand, we talked about everything: parcels flying across networks, the complexity of the last mile, the evolution of parcel lockers, and of course… how to build new revenue streams in a constantly shifting market.”  — Francesco Tribuni, Industry & Data Insights Lead

Bloq.it’s presence at the Summit

During the event, Daniel Starkey and Gary Winter took the stage to share key learnings from Bloq.it’s collaboration with Evri, one of the UK’s largest parcel delivery companies. The discussion highlighted how scalable locker infrastructure, combined with the right technology layer, can accelerate the adoption of out of home delivery at a national level.

Throughout the summit, the Bloq.it team engaged with operators and partners focused on building more efficient, data driven, and user centric networks, reinforcing the company’s position at the intersection of infrastructure and intelligence. At the stand, attendees were introduced to Bloq.it’s recently launched drop, deployed for the first time earlier this month, with live demonstrations showcasing its capabilities in real time. Materials highlighting the partnership with Evri were also available, alongside limited edition 3D printed mini drops that offered a collectable representation of the technology.

Looking Ahead

The signals from Brussels are clear. The future of last mile delivery will be defined by smarter infrastructure, stronger partnerships, and better use of data. At Bloq.it, we are continuing to invest in making our solutions more accessible, actionable, and impactful for the operators building the next generation of out of home networks.
