Lisbon, 5 December 2025 – Bloq.it has been awarded first place in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Portugal ranking, which brings together the 50 fastest-growing Portuguese technology companies. After achieving second place in the previous edition and the same position at EMEA level (Europe and the Middle East), this win seals the ambition and development of the company founded in 2019, which at the time focused on beach lockers.
With clients such as DHL eCommerce, GLS and InPost, the company is already an integral part of Europe’s parcel delivery infrastructure, and in 2025 it will process more than 100 million parcels. The partnership with the Vinted platform, after reaching France, Spain and the Netherlands, has also recently begun to be rolled out gradually in Portugal. Despite more than 97% of its business being developed internationally, 2026 will also be a year of expansion within the national territory, strengthening the presence of its technology among Portuguese businesses and consumers.
“One thing we have always really wanted was for our team to be able to use our products on a day-to-day basis, outside the laboratory. As all our clients are international, that was hardly possible, but that will change next year,” says João Lopes, co-founder and COO of Bloq.it.
“This distinction is further proof that we are on the right path. At Bloq.it, we are never satisfied, and there is a clear sense that we are still at the beginning of our story,”
Bloq.it’s tech-first mindset for an industry in need of innovation has led the company to scale rapidly across more than 10 markets. Last year, more than 19 billion parcels were delivered “out of home” in Europe, and this volume is expected to rise to 30 billion between 2028 and 2029, driven by the growing adoption of e-commerce and the decline of home deliveries. Bloq.it is responding to this demand through its smart locker solutions as well as returns (drop) solutions.
